DIY Wire Headband (For Those Who Got Shafted With Their June Birchbox)

Ok. So I was totally content with my June Birchbox, loving the cheek/lip stain, the self-tanning towelettes, even the cute travel bag! BUT…as a woman, I always want what I can’t have (hehe…just kidding…kind of).

I checked out one of my favorite blogs, Fantabulously Frugal, where Lisa posted a vlog of her June Birchbox contents. SHE got a cloth & wire headband from ModCloth! What?! Where is my headband, Birchbox? I now realize that not all boxes are created equal.

ModCloth Through The Wire Headband in Deer- $13.99

Whatev, not like me to hold a grudge.

So…in the words of our generation’s most accurate philosopher, someecards.com:

I guess I have to get this $hit handled.

Check out my DIY tutorial in the video below. I didn’t want a deer print headband anyways (secretly still want it). I am much more of a seersucker kind of gal. I got a little help from Cut Out + Keep on the materials used.

Materials:
Floral (or other heavier gauge) Wire
Scissors
Duct Tape
Length of Cloth
Sewing Machine or Iron-on Hem Tape (for those who are sewtasticaly challenged)

ENJOY!!! I would love to see pics if you decide to make one! (Also let me know if you got a different pattern in the June Birchbox…just wondering…)

I got a deer print headband one in my June box… I am totally in love with the concept, but I don't LOVE the fabric so here I am looking for a "how-to" so I can make my own in a more "me" fabric! Thanks 🙂

SO glad this was helpful! The one I made above has been great, but I would have used coated wire if I had it. I think it would stand up to my constant styling better 🙂 I would love to see what fabric you pick to make yours!!!
