I love discovering new food. One of my absolute favorite things to do in life is hit up a food tour any time I am in a new city. Since traveling every month to an exotic location isn’t in the cards for me right now, I need to find other ways to get my new food fix.
I recently discovered Degustabox, which brings a variety of delicious goodies your way every month for $19.99, which includes delivery. This isn’t a new company- they have been in the subscription box biz since 2013 and work in Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the UK, so know a bit about what it takes to make customers happy. The value of the box is always greater than the price you pay- this month’s box value was over $30.
I also love the fact that I can introduce new food to my kiddos every month. Degustabox sends many foods that are new to the market, and who doesn’t love trying stuff out before everyone else? My littles love surprises as much as I do, so we had a fabulous time working our way through all of the new discoveries. This box includes snacks as well as different sauces, marinades, and ingredients to inspire new recipes. So, have fun with it! Experiment with the new food, make some fun recipes for the fam, and snack on some new items that you might never have seen on the shelves before!
Here is what I received in my June box:
Topo Chico Mineral Water in Original and Lime
Wise Foods Popcorn in Cinnabon and Sea Salt
Briannas Italian Vinaigrette
Orchard Valley Cashews and Trail Mix
Vita Coco Coconut Oil
Jif Cinnamon Peanut Butter Spread
Haribo Sour Gummy Bears
Soy Vay Teriyaki Marinade
Steuben Foods Milk Alternative in Pistachio
Honees Cough Drops
Honestly, I was thrilled with everything in this box, especially because almost everything was new to me.
The Cinnabon popcorn is my new obsession- it isn’t overly sweet like caramel corn can be, but has a ton of flavor.
The Italian Vinaigrette was a welcome surprise- I didn’t realize that they would be sending non-snack items! I am always on the lookout for delish dressings I can use at home, because…you know…summer and salad go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Speaking of peanut butter, Jif apparently has a new cinnamon spread that they sent. Cinnamon toast has been a fave of mine since I was a little kid, but it had very little nutritional value. With this spread, I can pack 7g of protein into my breakfast. Sold. I am obsessed with sparkling water, and loved trying this old school Topo Chico stuff in a glass bottle.
The cashews and trail mix is perfect for my on the go lifestyle, and I tossed them into my bag today to snack while I worked. Here’s a beauty tip- use coconut oil instead of lotion in the summer. I tossed these perfect mini packs of the Vita Coco into my purse and slathered it on right before going into an event. It gives your skin a lovely shine, smells divine, and works well on cuticles and lips too.
I was intrigued by the pistachio milk alternative…and found that it was a unique flavor that vaguely reminded me of pistachio pudding. The sour gummy bears are amazing- my candy of choice when I go to the movie theater is Sour Patch Kids, and I always have gummy bears on hand to boost my blood sugar. The Soy Vay marinade is perfect for grilling recipes. The cough drops are a welcome change for the medicine-y nasty stuff that I usually choke on. The burst of real honey was a nice treat at the end, and helped with my horrid allergy-related coughs.
The only problem I had with the Degustabox was the packaging, but I am not sure it was their fault. Everything seemed to be packaged well- bubble wrap, sturdy box- but my USPS person often uses my mail for soccer practice. She’s a chain-smoking, rough around the edges gal who tosses things onto my porch like she is competing in Olympic shot put. One of the glass bottles was broken, but after contacting Degustabox, they quickly responded that they would be happy to replace the whole box if needed.
Sound like this might be up your alley? You can unsubscribe at any time, so take a chance and discover some new food favorites! They sent me a special promotion where you can save 50% off your first box by clicking here, so that would be $9.99. Have a dad that loves food? This would make a fabulous Father’s Day gift! 3 months is just under $60.
Here is a fabulous recipe I came up with the Briannas Italian Vinaigrette that came in my Degustabox. SUPER big hit with my family, because….bacon. I loved that it was insanely easy to put together!
15 Minute BLT Pasta Salad
1 pound pasta (bowtie, rotini, penne work well)
1 1/3 cup Briannas Italian Vinaigrette (you can add Briannas Buttermilk Ranch if you want to make it creamy)
1/2 pound thick or center cut bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
2-3 roma tomatoes, diced
1/2 head romaine lettuce, torn into small pieces
1/2 red onion, diced (my kids aren’t fans so I omitted this!)
1 avocado, diced
Cook pasta according to directions (al dente); drain and rinse under cold water. Place pasta in large serving bowl with other ingredients, mix well and add salt & pepper to taste. Chill & serve.
A big thank you to Degustabox for sending me a sample to review! I will be posting recipes, items and reviews every month, so get ready for some food-filled fabulousness. PS- this post may contain affiliate links, which means that I may make a small commission if you subscribe, which keeps this blog movin’! All opinions are honest and my own, as always.
What a fantastic idea! I'm always looking for ways to introduce food from other countries to my kids and don't get very far. This is a great idea for a subscription box and would be worth trying. Love it!
Thanks!! It was a blast trying out new stuff, and there is such a variety of food that they send, there is sure to be something for everyone!
I needed this when I was a little kid to force me to try something new! (or even today still!) haha, this is a great idea!
xo, Sarah

It is really difficult for you to cut the food items with your hands when you have to make the food to supply for outlets. These machineries also help the housewives to great extend when they have to prepare food for parties of any of the occasions. Nigel
