Tech Geek Chic

Hopefully, Santa brought you everything your heart desired for Christmas. If not, ’tis the season for buying it for yourself or purchasing accessories for those great gifts! I found some amazing double duty accessories that accompany some of this year’s hottest gifts. I usually recommend very budget-conscious items, but these are some splurges I can’t resist. Read on and keep your credit card handy…because there are a whole lot of designers who have brilliantly merged with the tech world.

iPhone 4S

I sure did! I don’t know if I am more excited for the iPhone, or the adorable add-ons that I can buy. After opening my new tech wonder, I immediately went online and bought this (below). I can’t tell you how this will simplify my life. I have multiple purses and diaper bags, and inevitably forget either my phone, credit cards or license when swapping out. This gorgeous little piece keeps everything together with slots for cards and doubles as a clutch when on the run.

iPad

My step-sister-in-law introduced me to this amazing piece (she’s the type who always knows about the next best thing and I depend on her to keep me young!). I was literally in awe when I spied it. DVF doesn’t fail to disappoint with this utilitarian Daybag. Stylish enough to go from play date to date night, it has the easy access flap to quickly entertain the kids with iPad apps.

iPod

The one thing I dislike about Apple’s iPod is the headphones. Those ear buds always pop out of my ears when I am pretending to get on the elliptical to exercise. Damn.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Marc Jacobs has come out with an adorable fuchsia-colored alternative.

So do you have to take the phone out of the MK clutch everytime you use it? How easy/hard is it to do that? Do you still need a separate case? so many questions….

Mine should be arriving next week (backorder due to popularity, of course!) so I will be able to give a first hand review soon. The site describes it with "Cutouts for play-through functionality" but no hole for the camera unfortunately. It does have a solid spine for protection. I know, I can't wait to try it out!!
