Rent the…Regular Clothes!

I think Rent the Runway, the service that rents designer accessories and dresses, is a wonderful concept. Rentals start at a reasonable $40 for a Lily Pulitzer shift and skyrocket up to $300 for a Temperley London stunner.
What about those occasions where you want something different to wear, but don’t need the designer label or high rental price?

Enter: Lendperk.

It works like this:

Sign up for a monthly plan: 1 dress/month for $20/month, 2 for $34/month and unlimited for $49/month.

Pick out a dress; it arrives with pre-paid return packaging.

Send it back after wearing (no cleaning required) and pick out another!

Their brands are more along the lines of BCBGMAXAZRIA and bb dakota than Badgley Mischka and Brian Reyes.

Case Study

I recently attended a GoRed event with my friends from The Little Style File, Kristin and Betsy, who clued me into this new service. You see, I sweated it out at the mall that day trying to find a dress that wouldn’t blow my bank account. I wanted to shop my own closet, but was having one of those “I have nothing to wear” moments. Kristin and Betsy were sporting dresses provided by Lendperk, and they looked fabulous! With a little extra planning (and less money), I could have rented a new dress for TWENTY DOLLARS. Don’t they look lovely?

Here are a few of my favorite dresses on Lendperk:

I will be trying out the floral trend in some way shape or form this spring, and why not rent it first?
