Gift Guide: Hostess with the Mostest

Have a friend who always throws the most fabulous fêtes?

Wow her with these great gifts!

Just a Bite by Gale Gand- $10.30 @

I chatted with Gale at a recent charity event and she advised me on how to properly prepare a macaroon. Guess what? I still f’ed it up after 5 rounds. This book is amazing, though- if you have a friend who loves to entertain, get her this book. How can you resist itty bitty tiny bites of food? My fave is the banana brulee spoons. Impress the hell out of your guests.

Wine Glass & Champagne Flute Sponges- $9.95 @

Yeah. I have broken many a wine glass and champagne flute by cleaning them. My husband and I have a competition every time we use a fancy glass that can’t be chucked in the dishwasher- we leave it on the counter and see who caves first & washes it. These little sponges make it a breeze. Not saying it would convince either of us to cave, but hey…gotta start somewhere.

Index Advance Chopping Boards- $65 @

I am completely paranoid that I am going to bestow salmonella poisoning upon my unsuspecting dinner guests some enchanted evening. This set of chopping boards prevents against cross-contamination. Rock on.

Cake Pops Kit- $13.57 @

Who hasn’t heard of cake pops? Although most of the cake pops in the book are WAY more involved than the average person wants to tackle, they do make adorable parting gifts for your holiday parties.

Glamour Girl Haute in the Kitchen Apron- $69.95 @

Yes, I know this apron is completely ridiculous, BUT if you have a glamazon gal pal that loves to sparkle and serve up a mean madeleine, get her this. At least if she is stuck in the kitchen she can look festive.
