Chic Summer Outfits for Cheap

If you know me, you know I HATE to pay full price. If you know me really well, you know that I mentally add up how much my outfit costs every day to see what a deal I am wearing. It is just habit, truly it is. It is an addiction that I am dealing with. Here are two outfits that I wore for different occasions during Memorial Day weekend- neither costing much more than $50. I had a third outfit, but an occupational hazard happened. Don’t ask.

Leopard, White V-Neck and Turquoise Outfit for Less | all dressed up with nothing to drink...

First of all, please forgive the random angle of this photo. I was in the bathroom of a fabulous restaurant three cucumber martinis in and trying to include all components of my outfit. I don’t do the “let’s look at the floor and laugh while tucking hair behind my ear” photo well. Ok, down to business.

Skirt: $16; Outback Red from The Limited on super clearance sale in the store; online, it is $39.99
Shirt: $5; Old Navy on sale over Memorial Day Weekend
Earrings: Gift; they are Kate Spade, but I also love these Mini Hexagons on Etsy for $12.50
Purse: Gift; it is from Italy, but I adore this teal Vintage 1960s Purse for $18.99 on Etsy
Shoes: Can’t see them, but there are nude peep toe wedges for $15 (Ok, they were from Burlington Coat Factory like 10 years ago and yes, I need to replace them. Saving up for Stuart Weitzmans, but will probably end up with something on sale at Nordstrom Rack)
Necklace: Gorjana and Griffin via PopSugar Must Have Box; check out the gg gold necklaces here
Lipstick: $9.99 at CVS; L’Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire in Fuchsia Orchestra

What I love about this outfit- I adore the high-low mix of a jacquard leopard skirt with a soft, basic vintage white T. I pulled my hair back in a beach wave ponytail since….that is what I had to work with because I did this beach wave tutorial on 30Second Mom the day before 🙂

Chic Summer Outfit for Cheap Gilded Nautical Gold and White | all dressed up with nothing to drink...

Again, weird angle, but the only person I have handy to take my photo is a two year old, and pics usually end up with a view up someone’s nostril. I think of this look as gilded nautical.

Blouse: $9 on super clearance at The Limited- similar here (reminded me of the $200 Equipment silk blouses I covet)
Tank: $8 on super clearance at The Limited; Banana Republic has a few cute striped tanks
Pants: $20; The Editor from Express on clearance circa 2004 (haha! yes!!!).  And the shirt is a half tuck partially because I love the undone look and partially because I sat on my son’s popsicle. Check out the updated Editor here.
Belt: $3 at Plato’s Closet; leather with gold rectangle clasp (and yes, I feel like an idiot in there because everyone else is in high school and I am pushing a double stroller….but they have awesomely cheap belts, purses and accessories).
Necklace: umm….I won this drunk bidding at a silent auction. I don’t want to discuss how much I paid because it all went to charity, right? Head to BaubleBar and check out their selection of gold bib necklaces.
Shoes: $15; Vince Camuto cage heels on super secret yellow sticker sale at DSW. I would love to say I wore these all night because I am in love with how they look, but I can walk two steps before they create major blisters. I switched to Jessica Simpson wedges which are the most comfy shoes ever. Check out DSW’s selection of leather sandals– lots under $50! Nails: Color Club from my Birchbox; check out the Wanderlust collection here.

What looks do you love for less? TELL me!! (And if you know how to get popsicle stains out of white pants, tell me that too).
