***If you are related to me, please don’t read this post! Seriously. Don’t do it.***
I go through dozens of gift guides each year, and usually yawn at their choices. Not saying mine are much better, but…I would LOVE to get anything on this list. Just sayin.’ Check out each recipient category and tell me what you think!
POPSUGAR Must Have Gift Subscription
The POPSUGAR Must Have Box is the best subscription box out there. I haven’t had one disappointing month, and the value of the box is WELL above the price. You can give a one month gift for $39.95; just make sure to check the box next to the question: “Is this a gift?”so it doesn’t auto-renew on your credit card each month. They give you a jpg to print off or e-mail to let the recipient know. If I didn’t already subscribe, this would be at the top of my list!
What’s in it, you might ask? Everything from jewelery to gourmet goodies to home goods to makeup. Here’s a photo of the August box:
Artisanal Jelly from Potlicker Kitchen
This isn’t just another jar of Smuckers! Check out the flavors that these hand-crafted, small batch jellies come in (many of which include beer or wine): Carrot Cake, Hard Apple Cider, Oatmeal Stout…the list goes on. I would LOVE a jar of Spice Wine Jelly to serve on a cheese board for a holiday party! They take their last holiday orders on December 17th so make sure not to miss the cutoff. Prices start at $7/jar for a single jar, and gift sets are available.
Reciprocal Membership to Children’s Museum
How many toy cars and Barbie dolls can your little one get? How many of these do they use on a regular basis throughout the year? Why not get your little one the gift that keeps on giving (and tires them out to ensure an excellent nap after)? Check out the list of reciprocal Children’s Museums- by purchasing a membership at one (check out the different levels to confirm), you have access to discounted admission to over 165 other Children’s Museums nationwide.
Bad Luck Friend:
We all have that friend- the one who continually drops their phone, loses their keys, gets flat tires on a regular basis…give him/her a little insurance against the next time their phone ends up in the toilet. This case keeps your phone waterproof, dirt proof, snow proof and drop proof. It comes in 10 different colors and retails for $79.99, which is a lot cheaper than a new iPhone.
One of the MOST frustrating things as a traveler is losing your luggage. You simply place the teeny little device in your luggage, and it sends a text or e-mail confirming that your luggage arrived with you. It is FCC approved- it uses cellular technology as opposed to GPS. Trakdot retails for $59.99.
On The Go:
How many times has your phone died just when you needed it most? This adorable high quality leather wristlet is available in 12 different colors, and works with all micro-usb smartphones and iPhones (must purchase a separate iPhone adapter). It retails for $95, although since it is sold out on many sites some Amazon vendors are selling at a premium.
Have you ever been tempted to steal your toddler’s sippy cup in order to prevent the inevitable wine spill when swilling with your friends? Now you can have your own! Available in 10 oz and 14 oz capacity. 10 oz retails for $12.95, 14 oz is $15.95.
What is on your wish list this year?
