Wizard of Oz in Chicago- Ticket Giveaway!

Can you imagine that a film from 1939 is still cherished and remembered by millions today? The Wizard of Oz is an iconic musical that I remember viewing in awe as a little girl, cozy on my parent’s green flowered couch and viewing on a VHS tape that we picked up from the local video store.

Yes, times have changed, but this classic is being brought LIVE to Chicago on stage for families to enjoy together! From May 8th to May 20th, The Wizard of Oz will be seen at the Chicago Theatre with plenty of special effects and beautifully vocalized classic songs from the original movie.  The best part, in my opinion, is Toto- he is played by a Terrier mix who was rescued from the ASPCA in Arizona by the music director for the show. This isn’t his first rodeo, either- prior to playing Toto, he was also seen onstage as Willoughby in “Mary Poppins.”

Tickets are available on the Chicago Theatre website, the box office, and Ticketmaster starting at $39, but you have the opportunity to win a family four pack to the 7pm performance on May 9th! To enter, fill out the Rafflecopter form below.

Now, I would be remiss if I didn’t discuss the fashion that Dorothy Gale brought to the world!

I have been a major fan of gingham for years, and as of late it is popping up in every aspect of fashion from bathing suits to nail wraps. This is a classic print that you can wear throughout the year. I found an off the shoulder black and white gingham midi dress as a thrift store- I pair it with a vintage wicker bag (a little nod to Dorothy’s wicker basket). No ruby slippers or braids for this gal, though- that would definitely be wavering into cosutme territory.

Want to grab your own gingham pieces? Here are a few of my favorites this season:

Thank you to the Madison Square Garden Company for the opportunity to give these tickets away! Grab yours now, the show has a limited run in Chicago!
