Attention expectant and new parents: you will be inundated with a barrage of both useless and useful information, products, and advice. How are you expected to know what is valid and what can be…tastefully bypassed?
An educated guess.
To obtain the education portion of the guess, the Chicago Baby Show is coming back August 25th & 26th for the second year and is the largest show for new and expectant parents in the country. There will be pretty much every single top baby brand in attendance with reps that you can grill to your heart’s content. Guest speakers (totally vetted to give you that info you need as opposed to mere opinions you will get from everyone else in the world) are on hand throughout the day to get you from pregnancy through getting yourself back.
You can see my recap and top new baby products from last year– even though my kids are past the baby stage, I still came away with an array of advice and items to help my parenting experience! For example, I found this innovative maternity jacket that I WISH I had when I was expecting!
I also purchased B-Sensible Waterproof Bedding for nighttime potty training for my preschool/K kiddos. Forget those crinkly, plastic sheets- this antibacterial, waterproof yet breathable sheet is the only one I use now. I plan on picking up some of their waterproof pillowcases since my kids have turned into droolers!
The normal ticket price is $30 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children) or $20 per individual, but I have ten family tickets to give away for free! Use this link to grab yours fast. If there aren’t any left through this link, you can still receive 50% off your ticket price using this link.
Here are some of the highlights that you will experience at the 2018 Chicago Baby Show:
Speakers and topics
Pregnancy, Health and Wellness– panel of pediatricians, doulas and and Lamaze certified educators
Gear Guide– The Baby Guy Jamie Grayson
Breastfeeding and Sleep Advice– top lactation and sleep consultants
Raising a Happy and Healthy Baby– Dr. Harvey Karp, author of Happiest Baby on the Block
Baby Safety– Safety Advocate from UPPAbaby, CEO of Big Blue Swim
Getting Back to You– panel of parenting lifestyle experts including my FAVE tell-it-like-it-is speaker, Eirene Heidelberger of GIT Mom (Get It Together)
I hope to see you there! And yes, you can bring your kids- mine loved testing out all the new gadgets, including the stroller track.
Cheers to making the foray into parenting as smooth as possible!
