Ta Ta Tangerine; Cobalt Can Stay; Enter: Emerald

I would like to officially welcome Pantone’s 2013 color of the year, Emerald!

“The most abundant hue in nature, the human eye sees more green than any
other color in the spectrum,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director
of the Pantone Color Institute®.

As soon as I heard the news, I had to physically restrain myself from doing some credit card damage in the name of Emerald Apparel. Not because I have to have it, just because it is a surprisingly tough color to find (done well) and I figured some fabulous pieces should be available. This is officially my favorite Pantone Color of the Year. I embraced Tangerine Tango last year and yeah, it worked. Did it earn a permanent place in my closet as well as my heart? Not so much. You see, emerald is a classic. Emeralds are actually more rare than diamonds, but less expensive.
