New Year, New Ways to Make Your Life Easier!

Every year, I discover dozens of products to help me achieve my goals, one of which is to simply make my life easier. This year is no different, and I have three of my favorite products to kick off the New Year in the easiest way possible. Here are three of my most common issues, and how these products help make them much easier to tackle.

 

Dry January

As I age, I am realizing that alcohol and I just don’t mix. I recently went to my doctor and we discovered that I just don’t metabolize alcohol well. I am trying to cut way down on my alcohol consumption, but I am used to having something to sip on in social situations.

I now keep Clausthaler Non-Alcoholic Beer on hand at all times. When I have friends over, it is much easier to stay on track by cracking open one of their Dry Hopped brews instead of sipping on plain soda water. They also have Original, their signature golden lager, and new Grapefruit, which is absolutely delicious.

Couch Snacking

Every night, my kids and I cuddle up on the couch to watch shows together. This is one of my favorite parts of our time together- homework is done, everyone is showered (usually), and we can all just relax for a bit. Of course, we love snacks…and most crunchy snacks are packed with empty calories that go down way too easy. 

Wonderful Pistachios are honestly the perfect snack for us. They have a little crunch, a lot of protein (6g in a 1 oz. serving) and are one of the lowest calorie snack nuts. They come in a few varieties: In-Shell Lightly Salted, In-Shell No Salt, and No Shells Lightly Salted.

And PS- you need a Pistachio Pedestal. I am pairing Wonderful Pistachios with one for every hostess gift in the future.

Pre-Gym Energy

I am someone who needs to eat before I work out. BUT. I can’t eat a full breakfast because I feel nauseous with a full stomach. I also need a good mix of protein and something I can eat on the go, because otherwise it just won’t happen. So many bars are full of sugar, artificial ingredients, and a ton of fillers. I tried out The Wholesome Bar and I am HOOKED.

These bars are cold-pressed, and you can actually SEE all of the ingredients intact. They are kept in the fridge to maintain their crisp texture, but can be kept out of the fridge for up to a week. I know this sounds ridiculous, but one major reason I love them is because they don’t stick to my teeth! They aren’t gooey and sticky like many other bars. They don’t use preservatives or binders- this is why they are refrigerated!

They have two new flavors- Chocolate Peanut Butter Crisp and Peanut Butter Crunch that are delish. My favorite so far is the Coconut Macadamia, but every flavor is great. I eat one every morning before my workout, and they have helped me have enough energy to make it through an hour of strength training.
