This is a sponsored post. All opinions are honest and my own, as always.
I don’t know about you, but resolutions don’t work for me. Most resolutions go by the wayside in January/February anyways, so I’m not even trying to make firm rules for myself. I’m going with the best practices method- guidelines for improvement. Here’s what I have come up with so far:
- Drink less alcohol. Am I going to completely cut out my alcohol consumption? Nope. Am I going to make more mindful choices when drinking? Yes.
- Select better snacks. When it comes to snacking, I just need to have healthy alternatives in front of my face. If there is a bag of Tostitos, I will go for that instead of making a smoothie. I need simple, healthy, easy to grab snacks.
- Move more. Being sedentary has been likened to smoking cigarettes in terms of being a detriment to your health. I will not be running a marathon. I will, however, try to get off my butt every hour and build in some different movement commitments throughout the week.
- Look better, feel better. Have you ever noticed that when you dress is sweats daily, or neglect to put effort into your looks, you don’t feel as vibrant and overall good about yourself? Well, I definitely do. I want to feel good about what I’m bringing to the world.
Here are some products that I’m using to help me reach my goals this year!
Clausthaler Non-Alcoholic Beer
I found that by simply stocking my fridge with non-alcoholic options, I can reduce my alcohol consumption, especially during the week. I often just want something to sip on in the evenings, and Clausthaler has the perfect products. They were the pioneer in the NA Beer category over 40 years ago, and have come out with a variety of options that appeal to many different tastes. Their current offerings that I am rotating through my fridge are: Clausthaler IPA, Clausthaler ISO 0.0% and Clausthaler Grapefruit. If you want the OG NA, try their original! Did you know that pistachios are one of the lowest calorie snack nuts? This means that your serving size is larger than if you eat other nuts. For example, there are about 49 pistachios in a serving. Almonds have only 25, and cashews come in even less at 18. PLUS- I always go with the Wonderful Pistachios in the shell because it slows me down. I do like grabbing the no shell variety, though, so I can easily add them to recipes and salads.
Nearly 90% of the fat in pistachios is unsaturated (the good stuff), and they have 6 grams of protein per serving. Grab them in stores or at wonderfulpistachios.com.
Ok. I don’t have a corporate job anymore, but if I did, I would be absolutely thrilled if they partnered with Zesa Wellness. They help companies establish corporate wellness programs, and provide access to mindfulness programs taught through yoga and meditation. This isn’t a power lifting, crazy competitive program- to me, this is the next generation of employee wellness. It isn’t just about the body, but also incorporating the mind. I have struggled with my hair since about 2019. I went through an incredibly stressful period in my life at that time where a good amount of my hair actually fell out from stress. And then…I was stressed because my hair fell out! It truly impacted my self-confidence and ability to show up in the world the way I wanted to. I know many men go through this situation, and thankfully treatment has evolved.
