My Slightly Inebriated Late Night Internet Purchase

The other weekend, my husband had a guy’s night out. I decided to crack open some sparkling wine that I needed to sample for a post and get some work done (seriously, sometimes my job just rocks…and other times I am juggling two kids while trying to meet a deadline or take photos and chaos ensues, no dinner on the table, you get the idea). Moving on…

At around 11pm, I started reading researching Valentine’s Day presents for another post I was working on (Helzberg Diamonds– check out my post if you want to buy yourself something! I won’t tell!) and I realized that we don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day together. We don’t buy gifts, we sometimes exchange cards, but it really doesn’t have any significance in our relationship. Normally, I wouldn’t care about this because I totally understand that it is a Hallmark holiday, blah blah blah, but 1/2 way into a bottle of bubbly and researching diamond pendants, I got a little sad. So what did I do? What any kinda sad, kinda buzzed girl does when she is alone on a Saturday night with her credit card number memorized- I shopped.

Um, so this is what I bought.

Moschino Barbie iPhone Case

Yep. It is a Moschino Barbie iPhone Case.

Well, looks like you will see me rockin’ this on the daily! I kinda love it. It is ridiculous, impractical, yet thrillingly juvenile and kitschy. I would normally dismiss it, second guessing, thinking, “Do I really need this? I’ll bet people will laugh. Yep, they will. Will I ever use it?” And on and on. I recently read this article that said take a look at what you wore when you were a child to truly get a sense of your sartorial style. I took the author up on her advice for this one- the 5 year old Cheryl would have LOVED this!!

And my kids want to use it all the time. Too bad, suckers!!! This is mom’s phone…um…mom’s Barbie phone to be exact.

Have you made any tipsy purchases? Tell me what your best one was!

Disclosure: This post may contain commission links, which don’t affect your purchase price, but I may make a teeny tiny commission if you purchase something. So, thanks for allowing me to buy more fabulous stuff to review.
