I’ll admit. I procrastinated on getting my holiday cards out this year and waited until the last minute. I think I was just intimidated by some of the stellar cards rolling in- families perfectly groomed in matching outfits, not a hair out of place. They were lovely. But they weren’t my family.
Our style is more casual, crazy and active. With a 3 year old “threenager” and a very sensitive but goofy 5 year old, I can rarely get them to pose for a photo without one of them antagonizing the other.
For our holiday card this year, I decided to go for some action shots because our family DOESN’T. EVER. SIT. STILL.

Once I finally sat down to create the cards, I found that I actually enjoyed the process this year. I wanted to tell a story with photos that spelled out our greatest hits of 2016…because this is the closest thing I am going to get to a scrapbook. Minted made the process incredibly easy- their designs are more artistic than stuffy, more celebratory than boastful, and easy to create.
But….the biggest advantage I found to ordering my cards through Minted this holiday season? They address them for FREE. I just submitted my addresses and they came beautifully printed- no unattractive labels, just whimsical text that makes the card that much more chic. They have a free address concierge service- just send them your addresses in any format (from lists to envelopes) and they will build out your Minted Address Book. You can also order custom stamps to create a gorgeous greeting.
Today is the last day to order to get your cards by December 22nd- order by 6:30pm PT, choose Express Service with Free Rush Shipping (code SHIPNOW). How’s that for quick turnaround? You can also create a New Years card and get 15% off using the code WINTER16.
Here is how our card turned out!
