Last Minute Gifts DELIVERED

Yes. I admit it. I totally procrastinated this holiday season on the gift buying side of it all. Wait, no- I am going to give myself a break- I TRIED shopping for Christmas gifts with my 2 and 4 year old in tow, but it ended up in broken merchandise at the store (don’t worry, just a jar of jalapeno peppers) and tears. Lots of tears. Oh, and lots of ice cream and extra junk that we didn’t need as bribes.

I don’t have a nanny (if you are a lovely one and wouldn’t mind working for free, please contact me). I gotta get this stuff done myself either with my crazy (lovely!) kids or at home. With a hoppy bottle of craft beer. And those Christmas wreath cookies with green sprinkles. I opt for home.

Here are a few gift ideas that are fabulous and don’t require you to leave the comfort of your settee. So, mix up your fave holiday cocktail, crack open the laptop, and order away.

PopSugar Must Have Subscription

Ok, this is my #1 gift to give family and friends. I absolute adore this subscription box- every month, a package of curated goodies arrives on my front porch, and it is like my birthday! Every month! There is usually a gourmet food item (truffle popcorn, cake in a cup mix), something to wear (scarf, earrings, necklace), something useful (wine glass writers, jewelry box), and more. You can sign up for a montly gift subscription here. They also offer one time only boxes for $39.95 + free shipping, 3 months for $109.85, or 6 months at $214.70. If you have a gal pal or lovey lady in your life you need to buy for, this is THE GIFT she will love. Simply print out the notification and place it in a card and wait for the praise.

Kindle Books

Yes, you can gift Kindle Books!! Paperbacks are lovely, hardcovers are nice, but when I am on a plane this March headed to Huatulco, Mexico without children, I want to travel as light as possible- no books, just my Kindle and lots of cocktails. Lots.

It is pretty simple to gift a Kindle book. Simply find the one you want to gift, select “Give as Gift” on the right side under “Buy Now” radio button, and Amazon will send you (or the recipient if you choose) a link to redeem the book. I usually print out the book cover image and include the link with that inside a card.

Here are some of my favorite books to give and receive. I LOVE to read- I was just discussing with my friend Lisa of Shop Girl Daily (who has an amazing gift guide and the BEST stocking stuffer list for both men and women I have ever seen) that we want a vacation that consists of unlimited books, cocktails and massages on the beach. Sigh. A girl can dream. Anywho, here is the list:

For the girl who loves pretty things….Crazy Rich Asians or the sequel, China Rich Girlfriend.

Prime NOW Presents

Amazon Prime Now
is a service that delivers particular items to your door within TWO HOURS, and they are rocking and rolling until midnight on Christmas Eve. Here are my top picks, and yes- they do deliver to my zip code! Check here to see if Prime Now is included in your delivery area. Also, in order to utilize Prime Now, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. I signed up for a 30 day free trial…perfect for the holiday season. Try the Amazon Prime 30-Day free trial and cancel after the holidays if it doesn’t save your life. Easy peasy. Oh, and want to save $10 off your first order with Prime Now? Do you like cookies? (Yes, these two questions are related). Download the app and get started!

Here are a dozen gift ideas, all available on Prime Now in my area. You need to search with your own account/zip code to see what is available for you, but most of these were via Amazon’s store. I included something for the Gal in your life, the Kiddos and the Gadget Lover.

I would be happy with ANY of these gifts! As for the charges, prices are listed but from what I read they add a $5 tip automatically (which you supposed have 48 hours to remove if there are any problems). But seriously? TWO HOUR free delivery? I have no complaints about a $5 tip. Also, it doesn’t look like they are upcharging- I searched a few of the above items in regular Amazon.com and they are the same price. Way to save Christmas, Amazon.

PS- Amazon Prime Now is only available via the APP, not on a laptop/desktop.

Happy Holidays!!! Happy Shopping! Don’t forget to #TreatYoSelf!
