How to Wear Joggers Without Looking Sloppy

I recently went on a few trips, and at every single airport (PS- best place to find new trends….people from all over the world pass through there) I saw both men and women sporting joggers. If you aren’t familiar with joggers they are similar to sweatpants but usually slimmer and cropped. They are bordering on lazy fashion and can look sloppy when paired with similarly lazy styles.  I was totally creeping on other peopel to see how they wear joggers. Here are three ways to style these adorable joggers I bought from Shopko- comfy fashion doesn’t have to be sloppy! Also, they have a selection of adorable saddle bags for a great price. Plus- I usually run around in graphic t-shirts, and they are a steal at Shopko.

Show a Little Shoulder

Although this off the shoulder sweatshirt is just as baggy as the joggers, it adds a great deal of sex appeal and style. This is a slouchy look that is anchored by clean peep-toe perforated leather heels. The extra height keeps the looks from wavering into sloppy territory, and I paired it with a bright pink lipstick to keep it fresh.

Sporty Spice

My must-have purchase this spring was a pair of white sneakers. They pair perfectly with a multitude of outfits, are insanely comfortable, and were fairly inexpensive. I figured out how to wear joggers with one of my favorite white t-shirts, rose gold jewelry and low profile sunglasses. This is more function than form, but if you want to be comfortable while running the kids around, this look is it!

Date Night Done Right

Wondering how to wear joggers for date night? Bare shoulders and arms are a perfect contrast to baggy joggers. I actually used a sheer slip instead of a tank so I could blouse it out a bit- pop a black lace bralette underneath to add a little intrigue. I paired this with high strappy black patent leather heels, a gorgeous ring and statement necklace, and this perfectly sized saddle mini crossbody with a chic tassel.

Want to shop my look? These joggers were only $11.99 from Shopko, and the crossbody was only $9! Shopko is having a Friends & Family Sale from May 21st to May 24th and you can receive an extra 20% off Home & Clothing and an extra 10% off Furniture & Electronics with code FNF119. In addition to the pieces in my photos, I also picked up some fabulous graphic t-shirts with hilarious sayings for under $10 and a tribal print dress that pairs perfectly with lace up sandals for festival season (under $20). Looking stylish shouldn’t have to cost a fortune- you can grab an entire outfit on Shopko for under $50!
