Spring has finally sprung, my friends!!
How is your warm weather wardrobe coming along? Looking a little sad? Oh, all you have are neutrals? Time to incorporate coral and brighten up that closet!
If you haven’t jumped on the coral train, let me get you a ticket.
Coral is a reddish/pinkish shade of orange and pairs well with:
- Teal/Aqua/Turquoise/Seafoam
- Grey
- Pink/Raspberry/Plum
- Navy Blue
- Ivory/White
- Gold
Now, there are about a million shades of coral, ranging from powdery pink to orange sherbet to rust to dusty rose:
Today I am sharing my favorite ways to wear coral, from nail polish to lip color to apparel to accessories!
The item in my wardrobe on repeat right now is this Coral French Terry Drawstring Waist Dress. It is the single most comfortable warm weather item I own, it has pockets, doubles as a swimsuit coverup, and carves a waist without suffocating you. I discovered the brand Peach from a friend, and adore their incredibly functional, high-quality clothing that is just as comfortable as it is stylish. They JUST released their “California Dreaming” collection, which is inspired by sunshine, beaches and laid-back West Coast style. In addition to relaxed items like this dress, they specialize in athleisure and athletic wear. See the entire collection here!
The Fashion Design Director for Peach is Daniela Bascuñan whose resume includes Victoria’s Secret, L.L. Bean, Spanx and Under Armour. Can you imagine a brand that has the sexiness of Victoria’s Secret, the quality of L.L. Bean, the female-needs focus of Spanx and the athletic performance of Under Armour? Meet Peach.

Daniela, working on the next release of Peach goodies! |
I accented this look with shades from the Spring 2018 Rachel Zoe Box of Style. They are Bonnie Clyde The Hill Sunglasses and go with so many face shapes. Retail is $64, but they are a steal in this seasonal box of goodies curated by my fave stylist Rachel Zoe herself. And yes, she sometimes includes her own brand- I have received two of her signature caftans in my boxes! If you haven’t signed up yet, use my referral link and get $10 off the next box. For $99.99 each season, you get a shipment of over $400 worth of fashion & beauty goodies. Of all the boxes I subscribe to, this contains the most that I squeal over. Psssss….her summer box is always my favorite, and they haven’t shipped it yet so you are just in time.
Here are some previous boxes:
I added Ettika Day Dreamer tassel earrings and a reversible Rachel Pally clutch from my FabFitFun box (yes, I am obsessed with subscription boxes, can you tell?) as well as a gold chain bracelet with gold tassel (Rachel Zoe box…sensing a pattern here). FYI- the spring FabFitFun box was worth $347.99…and I paid $49.99 and I used EVERY item. Use my link to start your subscription, or leave a comment below if you want a free starter box (you pay shipping, they send you 3-4 full size products valued at over $75. Cancel any time within the 21 day trial (I always put a reminder on my calendar).
Now for the lipstick.
Coral and fuschia are my two main shades when it comes to making my lips pop. My FAVORITE is L’Oreal Colour Riche Extradordinaire in Coral Encore. Sad news- it seems like they are phasing this product out because I can’t find it anywhere…except a limited supply on Amazon. Grab it here if I haven’t cleaned out their stock yet!
The lipstick I am wearing in the photo is Mornin’ Sunshine by Lipstick Queen. The actual stick is yellow, and it works with your pH to turn the most flattering shade for your skin. It has Vitamin E and Sunflower Oil, which means your lips won’t dry out and crack. It turns a peachy pink/coral on me, and I use it almost daily:
And now for the shoes!! I recently worked with Lord & Taylor, using their store to pull from for a fashion show. I scored these gold wedges by Sofft for under $20 on super clearance, and they are as comfortable as sneakers to me. The key is a leather sole with cushioning and a platform under the toe. Here is a different style on Amazon, same comfort level!
Oh! Can’t forget the nails- just discovered Essie’s Treat + Love + Color, which makes even my horrible nails less brittle and prone to breakage. The shade I have on is a more subtle coral, Glowing Strong, which looks lovely when I have a tan
Have I tempted you to try this stunning shade?
Cheers to finally pulling out our bright, bold colors and swapping our closets for warm weather!
