Food, Fashion and Entertainment on a Whole New Level

When a planned community of dining and entertainment is put together, I am always a bit skeptical. Is is going to be a theme park-type venue? Is the food going to be high quality or the same old burgers and fries with a flag toothpick stuck in for a festive measure? I was pleasantly surprised and my skepticism was completely wiped away upon my recent visit to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago and the MB Financial Park at Rosemont.

If you haven’t been to this sparkling new facility, you will be
stunned by this gorgeous complex full of authentic dining locales,
fabulous fashion finds and a variety of entertainment options. When
people come to Chicago, they immediately think “Head downtown!” but this
entertainment venue is changing the way many visitors are planning
their trips, as well as the destinations that locals shop.

There is something for every age and interest here. Let me run down the list of restaurants and entertainment options and you can decide for yourself! I ate at Hofbräuhaus, which SO reminded me of the original in Munich. When I studied abroad, my mom and I visited the real deal and it has a special place in my heart. Here I am at the Rosemont location- milkmaid braids and an Urbrau in hand!

Restaurants
Adobe Gila’s Margarita Fajita Cantina– sizzling fajitas, 75+ tequilas, live entertainment 7 nights a week
Five Roses Pub– 6,000 sq. foot Irish pub serving traditional Irish fare
Fogo de Chao– authentic Brazilian steakhouse serving 16 different cuts of meat via gaucho chefs; gourmet salad bar is also a highlight
Hofbrauhaus Chicago– Chicago area’s 1st German micro-brewery, beer hall, restaurant and beer garden; modeled after the original Hofbrauhaus in Munich with a lively, convivial atmosphere

Park Tavern– modern gastropub serving over 40 craft beers on tap and house-smoked meats; beautiful Skybar overlooking MB Financial Park
Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill– this is for the country fans complete with a two-story space featuring live country music, BBQ cooking, and a guitar-shaped bar
Sugar Factory American Brasserie– Willy Wonka would be proud to frequent this candy crush! The entrance to this restaurant features a fully stocked candy store, and drink specials include smoking goblets and custom martinis.

Entertainment
Kings Lane, Lounge & Sports– 27,000 sq. feet of sporting entertainment compete with 20 lanes, two full-service bars, a boutique billards lounge 60 HD TVs with a retro-inspired vibe
Muvico Theater/Bogart’s Bar & Grill– 18 screens feature the latest and greatest films; specialty cocktails, appetizers or a full meal make this location a truly unique movie-going experience
iFLY Indoor Skydiving– true freefall conditions indoors in a vertical wind tunnel from fans that create 80-175 mph wind speed
Zanies Comedy Night Club– top-notch comedy presented in an intimate atmosphere; full service bar and legendary standup

And who could forget the shopping??? Over 130 designer outlets occupy this upscale shopping mecca- from Forever 21 to DVF, Disney to Swarovski, there is something for everyone. I stopped at the Disney store and grabbed a bunch of stuff for Charlotte- her favorite character is “Mimi Mou!”

If you don’t live in the Chicago area but pass through on a layover, they make it TOO easy for you to shop. Through a partnership with Go Airport Express, O’Hare travelers can use shuttles between the terminals and the Outlets. They also have access to a special service that allows travelers to hold luggage, print boarding passes, and check shopping bags/luggage directly to their flights at on site. Shuttles also operate to and from downtown hotels.

If you frequent the Fashion Outlets, grab a Green Savings Card. For just $5, you receive discounts at dozens of participating stores. Want to get a free Green Savings Card? Show your AAA membership card and snag one at no cost!

I always wonder where to take family when they visit, and this is the perfect location. I can’t wait to share my #DateNight Food & Fashion pics from the upcoming Oktoberfest celebration at Hofbräuhaus (umm…thinking of renting a bus and getting couples together to go!), my holiday shopping haul and savings using my Green Savings Card, and maybe another Girl’s Day/Night Out similar to our Mother’s Day Brunch at Sugar Factory!

Thank you to the MB Financial Park at Rosemont for hosting this incredible snapshot of all you have to offer; I will be back again and again!

Disclosure: I was provided with complimentary goods and services at MB Financial Park at Rosemont for review purposes. As always, all opinions are honest and my own.
