So I received my magazine renewal letter in the mail for one of my FOURTEEN magazine subscriptions that I have (I counted the other day and got a little scared at that number myself). The price seemed rather high- I never want to pay more than $1/issue for any magazine. Go ahead, call me cheap- I take it as a compliment.
I did a little searching online and found the website Magazine Price Search. This site continually monitors subscription prices for almost 4,000 magazines from 24 different online magazine stores. On their landing page, you can shop by price…so in honor of $5 Friday, check out the magazines that are available for “Under $5.” Umm…ELLE? Harpers Bazaar?? Parents?? How much do you pay for these yearly subscriptions? This site gives you a breakdown of what the best deals on various sites are. Take a look and treat yourself…after all, you need something to read when you escape to the bathroom for “just a minute” while someone else looks after your kid.
ELLE
As low as $0.33/issue
Parents
As low as $0.23/issue
Better Homes & Gardens
As low as $0.31/issue
NOTE: I don’t take responsibility if it redirects you to some janky site where you are placed on an endless mailing list for AARP literature. I personally went through this site and purchased a subscription to Martha Stewart Living by going to the online magazine store that had the least expensive rate. It has been almost a year and NO reason to complain! As always, do your due diligence before purchasing anything on the Internet.
great to know you are able to purchase magazine sub for that price.
Thanks Marge! I use magazines as a way to relax for a quick minute. Short articles are so much easier to read as opposed to a lengthy novel when you are a busy mom!
