My Picks from the Altuzarra for Target Collab
According to Joseph Altuzarra, "All the house codes are there...Target really gave me free reign." By house codes, he is referring to his signature pencil skirts and boho adornments that make Altuzarra unique. “When designing for this collection and for my own collections, we always have the Altuzarra woman in mind—a woman who is sophisticated, confident and not afraid to express herself with fashion.” In fact, the ad campaign featured 41-year old Eva Herzigova- an ideal choice for a line that is more mature and sophisticated.
On inspiration for the collection: “What was important though was that the collection felt special and specific for Target and had its own narrative,” he states. “So we brought in the idea of the Altuzarra woman as a world traveller—she goes to Japan, Indonesia, Morocco, Eastern Europe…and brings back mementos and inspiration from each place.”

Personally, when I shop a collaboration, I am looking for pieces that will fit in with my existing wardrobe. I don't plan to grab a piece that screams "This is designer, I swear!!" I want items that are fashionable without being overtly trendy, call it classic with a twist.
