Questions to Ask When Evaluating a Preschool AND Giveaway!
I have recently been faced with enrolling my two year old in preschool. I had no clue where to start, so what did I do? Asked my friend whose judgement I trust completely to recommend a school for me. If you aren't lucky enough to have a friend who has already done the research and knows the schools in and out, please read on. Even if you do, all kids are different so it pays to thoroughly evaluate where your child will be spending a great deal of their developmental time.
|Nursing Room for Moms- The Gardner School|
The beauty of this school for parents of multiple children is that they accept kids from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. No making multiple stops dropping kids off at different locations. No potty training age rules. Kids get to stay at the same school from the time when mom goes back to work up until age 5. They also have extra curricular activities available onsite- from Gymnastics to Music to Ballet, they truly are a one stop shop.

When evaluation a new preschool, the team at The Gardner School kindly shared this evaluation form with me. Feel free to print it out and take it with you when trying to decide what program is best for your little one. It includes important questions such as:
- What is the teacher to student ratio?
- Does the school have an emergency safety plan?
- Are ALL staff members CPR and First Aid Certified?
- Is social and emotional development part of the curriculum?
